René Vinter René Vinter has Baccarat in his blood: His father worked as a crystal polisher at the maison’s factory, as did his grandfather. Vinter found himself attracted by fire and incandescence almost from birth, pursuing his passion at L’Ecole de Verrier, a glass-blowing school in Lorraine. He began at Baccarat in 1984 and has since become a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, crafting perfect ewers and carafes for all of Baccarat’s most prestigious collections. Of all the pieces he has worked on over 30 years at the maison, a green and amber handled fruit bowl stands out as especially memorable.
